In the last beauty tip, you’ll find a comment from my good friend at the Muslimah Blog asking about coconut oil.You put the lime in the coconut.
Specifically, she said;

In addition, did you know Coconut oil helps your hair growth? Can you find out more about it and enlighten us.

Thank you

Well, I did some research.

I learned this: that coconut oil is good for… just about everything, actually.

The biggest deal appears to be coconut oil’s benefits for your skin. It’s a great moisturizer with almost no adverse effects. I haven’t tried it myself, but I plan to, at which point I can give a description of how it affects acne-prone skin (which I have.) Because of it’s powerful moisturizing properties, it can help prevent wrinkles–but also because it’s a powerful antioxidant (an antioxidant battles free radicals, which cause aging.)

A coconut oil massage is very relaxing, so it’s also been cited as a stress-reducer. But if that wasn’t enough, it can help treat a full host of diseases and ailments, such as Alzheimer’s, tooth decay, HIV/AIDS, heart disease, Diabetes, infections, and probably others.

Now to answer the actual question: Yes, it is also good for the hair =3 A coconut oil scalp massage can eradicate dandruff and itchiness (product of the powerful moisturizer), and it can replenish the natural coating on a hair follicle, especially a damaged follicle, to shield it from breakage and splitting. This will help keep your hair thick and give it a nice lustre. For this reason, you’ll notice that coconut oil is an ingrediant in many shampoos and conditioners, but nothing beats the real thing!

(To buy extra virgin coconut oil, which is the best kind, click here to get it cheap.)

Thanks for the question =3

  1. Yes, but can it babysit your kid while you get your Christmas shopping done?? :)

    P.S. I love the falling sonw on yours site. COol.

  2. Haha, you have a good point there. No, I think that is the one thing that it can not do. =P

  3. Love Suave’s coconut shampoo. But, I can’t overdue it. If I use it too many days in a row, it leaves a lot of build up. But, Love the smell (and the price).

  4. Oh! And, I love the falling snow, too.

  5. Well thank you =3 that wasn’t my doing, wordpress offered it as an addon xD So I took it.

    Vinegar is the thing for buildup! Check out the last post. x3 (in case you DO go overboard.)

  6. A very happy merry day to you, Almira. =)

  7. As salam alekum wa rehmatillahi wa barkatahu!
